Participate in an International Boat Show


Participation as an exhibitor at the Barcelona Boat Show has been an opportunity for the industry to get to know us and learn about our STARNAPP Software, but holding an event that is up to the task and that gives us a presence has a job behind it that is not always seen. Here are some general steps we have taken to be able to attend the Barcelona Boat Show and to which we will return in 2024:

Research and planning:

    • We researched the fair and we benefited from the idea that it would be on dates in the month of October that allowed nautical companies to plan digitalization using our Starnapp software for the following year, this assured us of a staging in the perfect market place.
    • Establishing a budget for participation in the boat show, in which we have to include the costs of exhibition, transportation, marketing and personnel, trips, hotels, makes us very careful with the costs because the return has to be sufficient.

Space reservation:

    • Thanks to the contacts already acquired the previous year, we contacted the organizers of the Barcelona Boat Show to obtain information on the availability of exhibition spaces, costs and registration requirements. It is important to do this well in advance, since spaces can sell out quickly and we did so, being able to purchase a stand this year that was not open to the line of pontoons, since in the face of the sun it was completely impossible for us to show our software on the screen. This year we were able to be in the shade with a view of the city and with perfect visibility of our screen so that customers could be calm watching how it works.

Design of your stand:

    • We designed an attractive and functional stand that shows our software and this year we incorporated as a novelty a giant mobile phone where you could interact on our website.

Promotion and marketing:

    • We developed a marketing strategy to promote participation with constant advertisements on social networks and informing future customers of our presence. We also had advertisements in specialized magazines in the sector, which allowed whoever saw us to easily identify us and ask us.
    • But without a doubt, the best thing this year was the sign we hired at the entrance to the accesses, a tower where you could clearly see our presence in the boat show. It's a great idea to install that advertising.

Logistic preparation:

    • Organize transportation logistics, the delivery of products or exhibition materials to the venue of the event. Making sure that everything is ready for assembly before the start date of the boat show, arriving one day early to be able to carry out the assembly and to have the companies installing furniture and audiovisual systems is important.

Support Staff:

    • Like every fair, we always have the help of our dearest colleague Noelia, who, with her sympathy and constant joy, infects everyone who comes to our Stand with that joy and desire to learn more about StarNapp. Noelia is our star employee at events and she already knows our software, its functionalities and features perfectly, being a StarNApp ambassador wherever she goes.

Active participation:

    • During the event, we interact with visitors, collect contact information from potential customers and, especially during the demonstrations we carry out, we have answered all their questions. As we have always met people from the sector, professionals who, like us, want to be present and present their products, and we always bring new friends with us from every fair we participate in.

Post-event monitoring:

    • After the boat show, we don't forget about our clients, our future customers and new friends, contacting them and converting many of them into new members of StarNApp who will enjoy managing their boats in an easy and effective way. This allows us to then evaluate the return on investment (ROI) on our participation in the boat show.

Participating as an exhibitor in an event such as the Barcelona Boat Show can be an effective strategy to promote more visibility of StarNapp in the nautical market and establish connections in the industry.

Now it's time to close the page and let's start with the new event that we have on the horizon, which is next April 25 to 28 at the Palma International Boat Show on the Island of Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Islands)

and in which we will also participate but this time for the first time... in May 2024 on 21, 22, and 23 NAVALIA in Vigo.
